ChoDev (operated at chodev.pro) is a platform for discovering, showcasing, and connecting technology products, software, SaaS, DevTools, AI Tools, and other digital products. This policy describes how ChoDev collects, uses, and protects personal data of Makers, Tech Hunters, developers, and global visitors.

Account data & user-generated content
Email address, username, display name, avatar.
OAuth information when signing in via GitHub or Google (identifier, email, avatar from the OAuth provider).

ChoDev may use AI models (e.g. Google Gemini AI) for semantic search and content assistance features:

Only public product information (name, tagline, public description) may be processed for search and recommendation purposes. Private personal data, authentication tokens, and passwords are not sent to third-party AI providers for model training.

Object to or request restriction of certain data processing activities to the extent permitted by law.

6. Data Security
ChoDev applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data:
Data in transit is protected using encryption protocols (TLS).
Access is controlled on a least-privilege basis — only authorized personnel may access sensitive data.
Databases are backed up regularly and systems are monitored for anomalies.
No security measure can guarantee absolute protection. In the event of a security incident affecting user data, ChoDev will notify users as required by applicable law.
7. Cookies
ChoDev primarily uses necessary cookies to maintain login sessions, remember language preferences, and store UI settings (Dark/Light mode). ChoDev does not sell browsing data to third-party ad networks. If analytics tools are integrated in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.
8. Third-Party Service Providers
ChoDev may use third-party service providers necessary to operate the platform, including:
Cloud infrastructure & hosting — to store and serve the application.
OAuth providers (GitHub, Google) — for authentication.

Account data is retained for as long as the account remains active.
Some technical logs and backups may persist for a limited period after account deletion.
Data may be retained longer when necessary to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
When data is no longer needed and no legal obligation requires its retention, ChoDev will delete or anonymize it through a reasonable process.

ChoDev allows Makers to post links to external websites, products, and services. Users should be aware:
ChoDev does not control the privacy practices of external websites.
A product appearing on ChoDev does not constitute certification, guarantee, or endorsement of that website.
Users should review the privacy policy of any external website before providing data, signing in, downloading software, or making a transaction.
ChoDev reserves the right to disable links that show signs of being dangerous or in violation of these terms.
11. Cross-Border Data Storage & Transfers
User data may be stored and processed on cloud infrastructure of service providers, which may be located in multiple countries. ChoDev applies reasonable measures to ensure cross-border data transfers comply with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 91/2025/QH15, Decree 356/2025/ND-CP, and other applicable lawful data transfer mechanisms.

When significant changes are made to this policy, ChoDev will provide at least 7 days prior notice via in-app banners or email to your registered address.
